Any-Body for Pilates this Saturday?

Posted on: November 29, 2010

The final Any-Body Club session of 2010, is bringing a FREE session of pilates to you at the Jubilee Sports Centre this Saturday – 4th December from 2 – 3.15pm.

Although it’s not a sport pilates is a great form exercise designed to help strengthen and restore your body’s “muscular and skeletal function”. I’ve been doing pilates for years and it’s really helped me with my posture and toning of those slightly flabby tummy muscles, amongst other things!

Any-body can do pilates, no matter what their age, level of fitness or ability. If you need convincing some more, check out some of the benefits below;

  • Improves your posture
  • Improves mobility and flexibility of the spine
  • Delivers muscle tone and flexibility
  • Promotes a more efficient and supportive core
  • Increases stability for the pelvis and shoulders
  • Fosters the health of joints through improved mobility and support from the surrounding musculature
  • Complements training for athletes

The session at the University on Saturday will be an introductory taster session. Experienced local Pilates teacher Jacqui will be taking you through the basics, with a bit of mat and ball work.

Places are limited for this session, so if you are interested in taking part, please contact me at: hannah.webber@nottingham.ac.uk to book your place. Alternatively, if you’d like to find out more, please don’t hesitate to contact on that email address too.
