Welcome to my seventh blog and the final instalment of the 2010 – 11 academic year. It’s been a busy few months with exams, coursework deadlines, training and a busy programme of competitions to try and coordinate. I’m off to Dublin tomorrow for the Irish National Championships, but since my last blog I have been working a lot on my throwing technique under the watchful eye of my coach and the lead physio from UK Athletics….

The Nottinghamshire Sherrifs Goalball Club competed in their third ever novices competition this weekend in York and came away with a well earned silver medal.

A truly unique sporting event at The University of Nottingham offers students from across the globe the chance to compete, experience new cultures and establish a worldwide network of contacts this month. The third annual Tri Campus Games (TCG), to be held in Ningbo China from June 6-10, will see 180 athletes studying in the UK, China and Malaysia compete across 14 events and eight sports, in the only international intra mural university games currently held.
