On Saturday 13th November, the Nottingham Sherriffs travelled up the M1 to compete in their first ever Goalball competition. Despite having only held three training sessions, we approached the Concorde Sports Centre in Sheffield, with bags of enthusiasm. We were all kitted out in our tracksuit bottoms, long sleeved shirts, bibs, blacked out masks and elbow and knee pads – ready for action. Read the rest of this entry »

 Despite the appalling weather conditions on the day (rain, rain, and guess what – more rain!) a few brave souls still made it over to Jubilee Sports Centre to try out the first session of the Goalball Club, which was thankfully indoors. On Sunday 10th October the University and Nottinghamshire Royal Society for the Blind ran a Goalball Leaders course. The aim of the course was to teach a select group how to run a Goalball training session.
