Welcome to my seventh blog and the final instalment of the 2010 – 11 academic year. It’s been a busy few months with exams, coursework deadlines, training and a busy programme of competitions to try and coordinate. I’m off to Dublin tomorrow for the Irish National Championships, but since my last blog I have been working a lot on my throwing technique under the watchful eye of my coach and the lead physio from UK Athletics….

The University in conjunction with national governing body – Cerebral Palsy Sport – is running a continuous professional development (CPD) day for swimming teachers, coaches, physiotherapists and trainer assessors on Sunday 17th July.

The University of Nottingham was introduced to the world of powerchair football at our Any-Body Month event in March 2011. We got the opportunity to watch the first ever East Midlands Powerchair Football Paralell Games at the Lee Westwood Sports Centre at Nottingham Trent University yesterday.
